The law we follow
We handle personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019. This notice explains in plain words what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do. It is not legal advice.
What we collect
When you fill in a form: your name, email, phone number, organisation and your message. When you apply to the academy: your answers, the Google email you want to use for class, and your payment records. We never see or store card numbers or M-Pesa PINs. Paystack handles payments.
Consent for each purpose
We ask separately for each use: to contact you about your request, to send you our newsletter, to count you in our impact figures, and to name you in public. Saying no to one does not affect the others. You can withdraw any of them at any time.
Who helps us run the site
We use service providers to run this website: Supabase (database, hosted in Frankfurt), Vercel (hosting), Paystack (payments), Resend (email), Cloudflare (spam checks on forms) and Google Classroom (teaching). They handle data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need to answer and follow up. We keep academy and payment records for as long as Kenyan tax and accounting rules require. After that we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, withdraw consent, or have it deleted. Email esther@weamplify.africa with your request and we will tell you what we did. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
Changes
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top of the page.
